In this crazy online business, you need to still develop relationships with your visitors.  I do this several ways  but the best way has been offering something of value for free.  If they like and trust you they will purchase.  You can also do this through your e-mail campaigns for those who opt in on your site.  Make sure you give something of value, entice them into your opt in and e-mail your list with your auto responder to further develop those relationships.  Each e-mail should be giving them something of value.
